“Religious vs Relationship”

Othella JordanUncategorizedJuly 13, 2018 Leave a comment0

What’s your choice? Would you rather be known for being religious – having belief in God, or rather be known for your relationship – connection, to God?

Before you answer, lets define religious and relationship as they relate to Christianity.  Religious: having or showing belief in and reverence to God.  Relationship: the condition or fact of being related, connected, or associated with God.

“Religion measures your aptitude while your relationship with God measures your attitude.”  – Rev. Seymore Brice

“Relationship is all about developing. The Word is to be shared. Develop the attitude that you have to do something with The Word. Have an: I can’t hold my peace a moment longer attitude.”  – Pastor V.S. Brice

Develop your relationship with God! Get to know Him through His Word! Read, absorb, and meditate on the Scriptures. Pastor Brice suggested that we be repetitive in our reading of Scripture.

“Before I look for revelation in Scripture I look to absorb-ation. When I first read Scripture I go real slow, take my time, look for patterns. I absorb the Scripture. This means to read it over, and over again. (10-15 times) Absorb-ation! Wait on God – He’ll give you revelation!”  – Pastor V.S. Brice

I invite you to meet me at The Temple where you’ll be encouraged and spiritually uplifted by The Word from Pastor Brice as he continues his awesome teachings on relationship and discipleship.

Until then – Stay Connected!

Blessings!
