“Reflect!”
GREETINGS FROM THE TEMPLE ….
“Reflect!”
The apostle Paul wrote two letters, 1 Timothy and 2 Timothy, to his close friend, Timothy, to encourage him in his ministry to the people of Ephesus. One of the key points to take from these letters is found in 1 Timothy 1:13 & 1 Timothy 1:16.
“I obtained mercy.” – 1 Timothy 1:13 (KJV). “I obtained mercy.” – 1 Timothy 1:16 (KJV).
“Reflect on this past year and thank God for His Mercy!” – Pastor Victor S. Brice
Reflect on any one of your personal situations – occurrences. Or the situations – occurrences of our nation – of the world. Realize that God has not forgotten you. He has not forgotten His people. God was in the middle of everything that went on during 2020 and the outcome is by His Mercy! God has kept us through it all.
Now it is time to redirect, refocus, revisit and reclaim. Look back on 2020 as a detour. We have all had to deal with a lot during this detour year. Pain, heartache, sicknesses, losses. Redirect your feeling of depression – your “woe is me” attitude to God and His Goodness and Mercy. Refocus on God – focus on His Word – focus on spreading His Word. Revisit the Old Testament of the Bible. Revisit the beginning. Learn from God’s prophets – judges – kings. Revisit the New Testament of the Bible. Jesus – Salvation. Reclaim the Word of God – settle the Word in your heart – mind – soul.
God sent us on a route different from the one we, ourselves, had planned for 2020 for a reason. He sent a pandemic (COVID-19) that had us making adjustments to our normal routines. We literally had to stock-up, mask up, and stay away (social distancing) from each other. How did we survive? What kept us?
God!
“God’s Mercy is the glue that held us together.” – Pastor Victor S. Brice
God’s Mercy is always at work, but sometimes God waits on us to look back – reflect – refocus – our heart – mind – soul – on Him. Focus on His Word. God’s Mercy is available to everyone. Reach-up and grab It – reach up and hold on to God’s Unchanging Hands.
