About Othella Jordan

“Do You Know Who You Are?”

“If you know who you are then you won’t need to be validated by friends on social media.” Pastor V.S. Brice. “You can’t put your faith in what man says. Quit worrying about what people think or say about you. It all starts and ends with God. We are all valuable to God.”

God gave us dominion (made us managers) over all the earth’s other creations: animals, birds, fish. God created us in His image. This is our crowning glory and honor. Know who you are in God and act accordingly. Genesis 1:27 & Psalm 8:6-7

“Don’t get caught up in the creation and forget about The Creator.” Give Him praise before, during and after a storm. God is positioning you for a blessing. Stay Connected!

“Release the Bitterness”

At Tuesday Noon Bible Study, while reviewing our Sunday worship message, “The Root of Bitterness”, Rev. Seymore Brice gave us several noteworthy quotes pertaining to bitterness. “Bitterness and love cannot live together in the same heart – decide which one will stay – the other has to leave.” “Bitterness is contagious – discipline will stop the process.”  Question: “How do I remove the bitterness from my heart?”  Pastor Brice spoke from The Word.

  • Reveal your hurt
  • Release those who hurt you
  • Replace the hurt with God’s Truth
  • Refocus the past to the future
  • Reach out to help others – once you’ve been healed

Ephesians 4:31-32 tells us to get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger. Be kind to one another and forgive each other, just as God forgives you.

“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”  Luke 23:34 (KJV)   Follow Jesus’ example, ask God to forgive the person or persons who have hurt you.

God will free you from being held hostage by your bitterness. “Holding a grudge doesn’t make you strong – it makes you bitter.”  “Forgiveness doesn’t make you weak – it sets you free!”

We welcome you to Connect at The Temple,

“Do You Have the Right Attitude?”

During one of our Thursday night Bible Study conference calls Pastor Brice, teaching on “The Dangers of Disobedience”, said that the highest praise we could give our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is “Yes, Lord!”  However, “You have to have the right attitude!”  The right attitude will keep you connected to God.

Read: Jonah Chapter 1 and 2 (Jonah disobeyed God and was swallowed by a fish.)

“Yes, Lord!”, would have kept Jonah connected to God. Disobedience will separate you from the Power Source. Obedience will keep you   Connected.  “Your attitude will affect your latitude.”  Don’t hinder God’s Power – Purpose – Peace – Presence! Stay with God!

Join us at The Temple! Be encouraged and spiritually empowered by the Word of God, with Pastor Victor S. Brice and his ministerial staff.

“You Can’t Do Christian”

“You Can’t Do Christian”

Pastor Brice was teaching from the subject: “Your Fidelity and Love for God” and made the statement: Be a Christian! You can’t do Christian!”  He was speaking from James 4:4-5.

He went on to say: “Christians are not better but, they are different. Stop trying to fit in where you don’t belong! Don’t be ashamed to be different!” 1 Peter 4:16 (KJV)

Be joyful that you can be called Christian, a distinguished name reflective of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. God gives grace to those who make the decision to follow Him. So, make the decision, follow Him – strive to be more like Him.
