“Are You In Trouble?”
GREETINGS FROM THE TEMPLE ….
“Are You in Trouble?”
During our Bible class, “The Word of God Is Right”, Pastor Brice asked the question: “What do you do when trouble, anguish, pain, or trauma finds you?”
Using the slogan: “Who you gonna’ call?”
“Trouble, pain, and anguish will find you. No one is exempt.” – Pastor Victor S. Brice
We have the tendency to call upon the person or persons we are close to when we need something fixed. i.e. We call our mother, father, husband, wife, sister, brother, etc. This is good – not a problem – but can they fix the problem, or will they put a band aid on it?
When your plumbing breaks down do you call one of your family members? Maybe, but the problem may or may not get fixed properly. The right thing to do is to call an expert. Call a plumber. When your car breaks down, do you call one of your family members to fix it or do you call a mechanic? You call a mechanic. Exactly!
So, why would you call an untrained person to fix your hurt – pain – or trauma?
“Trouble and distress have come upon me, but your commands are my delight.” – Psalm 119:143 (NIV).
Rely on the Word of God. Delight in the Word of God. Let God and His Word control your life. Delve deeper into His Word so that any time you experience hurt – pain – or trauma – you will automatically turn to God and His Word. Neither you, nor your family members can fix your hurt – pain – or trauma. God and His Word are the correct fix because His Spirit, which lives in our hearts, is greater than anything in or of this world. There is nobody greater!
“The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” – 1 John 4:4 (NIV).
“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33 (NIV).
Get connected. Trouble will find you. When it does, make the call. He is waiting on you!
