“Stop Hindering God!”
GREETINGS FROM THE TEMPLE …
“Stop Hindering God!”
We do many things in our daily lives that are a hinderance to God. Lets all think on this for a moment. Ask yourself: “What am I doing that’s hindering God?” or “What am I doing that’s blocking God?” Let me narrow this down a little more. In our Thursday Teleconference Bible Study, we’ve been studying from the book: “God Cures”, by Damon Davis.
Pastor Brice has introduced us to this book so that we may take a serious look at our health life- style. For reasons unknown, many of us have developed the mind-set that we are not responsible for maintaining good health. As Christians, we tend to concentrate on our spiritual health while neglecting our mental and physical health.
“Your physical, mental, and spiritual health are connected. When one is out of whack, it will affect the others.” – Pastor Victor S. Brice
Are health principles really a part of the Bible?
“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” – John 10:10 (KJV)
The apostle John is referring to the rich and full eternal life that Jesus gives. It begins when you ask Him to come into your life. It covers your spiritual health, mental health, and physical health.
“You and I were not created for sickness. We were created to live an abundant life: healthy, happy, whole. God’s Will is for us not to be sick.” – Pastor Victor S. Brice
You can’t live an abundant life while unhealthy – sick with disease – afflicted with addictions: food – drink – substances. We often over-indulge – become addicted to food – drink – and use substances while trying to cover our depressions – anxieties – and troubles. Over-indulging is the cause of many diseases and afflictions.
“Too much of anything is not good for you.” – Pastor Victor S. Brice
I encourage you to tune in to our Bible Study Teleconference calls on Tuesday and Thursday nights 7:00pm to 8:00pm at (888) 633-1082 for a Word that will help you mentally – physically – and spiritually. Staying in the Word is fuel for your spiritual and mental health. Developing good exercise habits and good eating habits is fuel for your physical health. Maintain the right source with the right fuel. Stay in the Word – exercise – eat healthy. Stop hindering God!
