“Develop Your Spiritual Muscles”
To be physically fit we must have a healthy diet and an exercise routine that involves strengthening and developing our muscles. Can we agree on this? Yes! Ok, lets take this a step further. To be Spiritually fit we must have a healthy Spiritual diet (the Word) and an exercise routine that involves prayer – praise – worship – and sharing the Word to strengthen and develop our Spiritual muscles. Read: Matthew 28:19-20
A quote from Pastor Brice, “Faith is like a muscle, it has to be developed.” Faith without growth is like planting a seed and not watering it. God uses our struggles – storms – to develop us, to grow us. Rev. Seymore Brice can often be heard to say: “Everybody has storms – you’re either in the middle of a storm – just came out of a storm – or getting ready to go through a storm.” Read: James 1:2-4
Going through something means exactly that, going through. Therefore, keep it moving! Rejoice! God will see you through! God has a plan form you – God is developing you! It’s okay to ask Him: “What am I to learn from this Lord?” “What do you want me to do Lord?” Have faith – listen – obey – pass it on! This is the key to strengthening and developing your Spiritual muscles. Read: Philippines 4:13
