GREETINGS FROM THE TEMPLE …
“It Is Happening Now!”
What is happening now? The season has started; therefore, it is time for perseverance. Yesterday was Veterans Day. As for me and my house, Veterans Day is the start of the (holiday) season. This means war! It’s time to buckle up, hold on, persevere. Veterans Day – Thanksgiving – Christmas.
During the season is when your memories have a way of flooding your thoughts. Memories of your childhood – early adulthood – your military service or the military service of a friend or family member – the loss of a family member or friend. All of these and more will come into your thoughts during the season. Let the memories come! However, be combat ready!
How to get combat ready? Get in the Word – meditate on the Word – pray – worship – praise! Draw close to God!
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. – James 4:7 (NIV)
Yes, the season is when the devil does his best work. He will have you feeling depressed – dejected – downhearted – even suicidal. Stop! Not today devil! Don’t retreat – stand firm on the Word of God. God is your Weapon! Give it all to Him! Wait for the Win! Oh, almost forgot, you must stay in prayer during the wait. Watch and pray!
While you’re waiting, sing a few victory songs of praise because you will win.
Praise Is My Weapon lyrics: Bishop T.D. Jakes
I’m a soldier in God’s army and I’m fighting.
I’m a soldier in God’s army and I’m fighting.
Yes, I’m fighting to pull down strongholds
Fighting to pull down strongholds
Fighting, fighting with my praise.
Got on my armor – my sword and my shield
I’m armed and dangerous – fighting, fighting with my praise. (end)
Yes, it is happening now. Use praise as your weapon! When you start feeling out of sorts – down – depressed – lonely, start praying and end with praise to our Heavenly Father – Ruler of all nations – King of kings – our Mighty God.
