“Don’t Lose Your Connection”
GREETINGS FROM THE TEMPLE …
“Don’t Lose Your Connection”
Have you ever sat down and thought about all the benefits you have due to being connected to God? Take a moment, think about your attributes and accomplishments. Great attributes and great accomplishments can lead to greater benefits. Great + great = greater. Now, where does all this greatness come from?
All that you are and all that you have are because of God. Give God the glory!
It is imperative that all believers have a close relationship with God. This means you must put God first. Be all about seeking Him prior to making any decisions in your daily life. Yes, this means include God in all your plans. Confer with Him, get His approval prior to making decisions. His approval guarantees your success.
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” – Proverbs 16:3.
There will be times in your life where no matter what you do, things will not turn out the way you’d like them to. There’s a name for these times; trials, storms, suffering, etc. During these times check your God Connection because it’s time to go into prayer mode.
Make sure there are no frayed parts, no twists or kinks in the line. Make sure the line is strong, sturdy and intact after much use. Why? Because you’re going to need this line to make your call to Him – you need a strong Connection.
“Call to me and I will answer.” – Jeremiah 33:3.
Call and response. (Prayers go up and answers come down.) Sometimes you may have to wait for His response. If you find yourself not waiting on His response, you’ve lost your connection.
A well-used Bible. (Your Bible is falling apart due to use.) If the pages in your Bible are crisp and clean, you’re not spending enough time in His Word. You’ve lost your connection.
Allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you (Following the directions of the Holy Spirit.) If you’re listening and not abiding (not heeding the Word) you’ve lost your connection.
“Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him.” – 1 John 3:14.
Being connected to God is a relationship. God is Love and God is Truth. Your relationship with God must include love, trust (faith) and obedience on your part. God does His part. He waits for you to do yours. Don’t lose your connection!
Stay Connected!
